Power-Burst Racquet String

A couple days ago I ended up cutting this Power-Burst string off my tennis racket and going back to the Klipper USA 16 gauge Synthetic Gut string because it is a lot more comfortable to play with.

At first I did like the Power-Burst string better than the Super-Poly string but after a short while it lost tension so I started using my other tennis racket with the Super-Poly string and that held tension much better so I stayed playing with that for a long while. Then when I grabbed my third tennis racket with the 15L gauge Synthetic Gut that played so well I decided to remove the poly strings [Power-Burst and Super-Poly] and go back to the 16 gauge Synthetic Gut because it feels so much more comfortable to hit with.

With both poly strings [Power-Burst and Super-Poly] I did like how the string stays in place [I never had to use my fingers to move the string back into place], it stayed looking new [no signs of wear], and it lasted a long time [never broke on me but I did end up cutting it off and going back to Synthetic Gut].

I bought 2 Power-Burst n 2 Power-Burst Rough. I used it w/ my 2 Prince O3 Silver oversized 118 in. head serves like a trampoline.
First racquet tension 30 lbs. main (black rough)/25 cross (silver power-burst) and 2nd 25 lbs. main (black)/20 lbs. cross (silver).both create a tremendous power w/ minimal swing just using my wrist. On my serve I just snap my wrist lesser effort than my original tension 50 main45 cross. Contrary to Klipper suggestion w/c I tried sliver main and black cross but there's not much power generating from my normal swing so I decided to lower my tension that gives power and control. I used Klippermate stringer equipment for my stringing through experimenting different tension according to my needs and it's great!

10/09/2023 - After using this string for 1-1/2 months it lost a lot of tension and my balls were going much deeper. At first I couldn't tell if my balls were going much deeper because the string lost tension or not; But when I started using my other tennis racket with Klipper USA Synthetic Gut 15L gauge I could tell right away because the Synthetic Gut still held tension even after 4 months. I won't go back to this Power Burst string because it looses a lot of tension after a month or so; I did like the Power Burst string how it stays in place on the racket never needing to adjust the strings with my fingers and it looks new even after 1-1/2 months of use. My favorite string is KLIPPER USA Synthetic Gut [I'm using 15L gauge so I don't break strings as often; But I do sometimes use 16 gauge for more spin but then it will break more often; It takes me 1 hour 30 minutes to string my racket with the Klippermate Stringing Machine; I do like that stringing machine a lot; It's nice being able to string my own racket.

08/09/2023 - I've been playing with this string for a couple weeks, it seemed a little easier to string my racket with this string versus with the Super-Poly 17 string, with the Super-Poly 17 string if I didn't hit the ball in the sweet-spot then it would feel like hitting with a flat board if the ball hit outside the sweet-spot, with this Power-Burst 16L string it feels nice no matter where the ball hits on the strings, I like that the string stays put not having to move the strings with my fingers ever, the Synthetic Gut feels more comfortable having better playability and is almost 1/3 the price so because of the price difference I may still stay with the Synthetic Gut [time will tell]; I haven't seen how long this Power-Burst string will last compared to Synthetic Gut, if the Power-Burst 16L gauge lasts me much longer than the Synthetic Gut then I may switch to the Power-Burst string, I do notice my balls landing shorter sometimes when they use to go deep 1 to 3 feet and that is why I bought this string... to see if it would help reduce power so my balls stop going deep 1 to 3 feet because I don't want to have to hit softer or change my grip for more top-spin if I don't have to. I'm wondering if this string could be made in the gold color that Super-Poly 17 is [I like that gold color]; If it can I request that color option; Other colors I'd like to see with this Power-Burst string would be black, white, clear if possible; Right now it's made to look like Luxilon Alu Power being gray like aluminum but maybe the color can be changed, if so I request adding more color options. I strung my Head Radical Oversized racket with this Power-Burst string at 66 pounds and I like that tension; I may actually try 68 pounds because I do like to hit hard and the ball will go just 1 to 3 feet deep sometimes when I do; I don't need powerful string, less power, more control is what I am after; This string does do that compared to many other string. I give it a 4 star instead of 5 only because the Synthetic Gut feels more comfortable and at this time is still my favorite string choice due to its comfort/playability and low price [1/3 the price of Power-Burst 16L]. Over time I may like the Power-Burst string more and more; I need to see how long it lasts and what happens as it gets old; After two weeks it seems to hit consistently well, no noticeable change in tension, still looks new, I play tennis most days for a couple hours. Power-Burst 16L is my second favorite string.to Synthetic Gut.
